    Blog/menu question

Posted 15 years 10 months ago
    • Hi! I'm a total newbie here, but I've enjoyed reading through the forums and getting acquainted with everything!

I'm building a site with the refraction template, and I would like to present a the majority of my content through the blog component (module?). However, I'd like to have menuing capability that's specific to the blog and not incorporated into the general menuing for the site.

I'm unsure how/if I can do the type of menuing within the blog feature that I want to do. I have five categories of blog content, and I'd like to have an icon that takes you to all the articles tagged as belonging to that category (sort of like a tab within the RokTabs module, but with blog content corresponding to each tab/menu item). I would love to do the menuing for the blog portion of the web kind of the way it's done on www.goop.com (i.e. an image as the menu item, not the scaling size aspect of it), but have the corresponding blog entries displayed beneath the menu bar (rather than going to a new page the way it does on goop.com). Does anyone have a suggestion?

I hope that makes sense. Please forgive me if it's total gibberish. I'm new to this!

p.s. I'd like to run the blog on a subdomain in hopes that it can migrate to a stand-alone site later on. In case that's a complicating factor.

      Thank you!
