    How to change permalinks?

    • So I have an SEO plugin already working, sh404SEF.

      Right now all of my links look like this: www.mysite.com/index.php?/page-name

      I want to get rid of the index.php? part.I'm guessing it has something to do with htaccess and/or Rewriting mode in the config for that SEO plugin.

      Any ideas? the "index.php?" seems so unnecessary.

    • - rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess. Some servers created .htaccess file automatically. In this case, remove that .htaccess and use the Joomla .htaccess

      - in global configuration, SEO Settings, please set "Use Apache mod_rewrite" to Yes.

      - in sh404sef setting, choose the one with mod_rewrite without index.php
