      I would suggest signing up for a test account in the jomsocial community, then downloading CB and installing on a test site to take both for a test drive. I think you'll be able to arrive at your own conclusion after taking them both for a spin. ;)

      Not knowing anything about either, which is the Yugo and which is the Porche?

    • I don't want to bias your decision; would take 5 minutes to test drive JomSocial and a few hours to figure out how to get CD installed and work through the convoluted backend settings. :)

      (note: I was being ironical with the bias quip). :)

      Feel free to take it for a test drive; perhaps someone could post a link to their CB community and you could try it out before investing so much time trying to get it up and running. Seriously, though, I had one site on which I installed CB, but took it down about a week thereafter....couldn't stomach the overall look and function of CB and the 1980'ish layout of the profiles and basic social areas. :)

      CB is, however, free; but I would argue that the old adage still holds: you get what you pay for.
