    Help! Cannot upload template

    • I have installed Joomla on my web server. I have tried to upload a template but am getting the following message
      Can anyone offer any guidance?

      Unable to create directory '/var/www/vhosts/radiomaxx.net/httpdocs/joomla/media/install_45aacd3098ba7/rt_extremities2/'Unable to create path for /var/www/vhosts/radiomaxx.net/httpdocs/joomla/media/install_45aacd3098ba7/rt_extremities2/ Upload template - Upload Failed

    • Can you provide a URL for your site if possible please?

      That directory path seems wrong to me.

    • I am currently having the same issue. The same error message as well. My hosting company upgraded to Joomla! 1.0.12 and now I can't upload any templates. Thanks for any help here folks....

      I was able to upload the zip file into the templates folder on my server and then extract it there and then it appeared fine. There just seems to be some hangup with the Joomla! installer. Not a coder to figure it out I guess.

    • It probably has something to do with the way your host has configured their servers. If you're trying to extract the files on the server, I'd try extracting them on your own computer first and then uploading them. That might solve the problem. If not, this is something you really should contact your host about.

    • Resolved this by uploading manual. Now having problems installing modules as per myother thread

    • Check is safe mode is on. If yes, ask your provider to set it off.
