One URL... Multiple Templates.. HELP

    • Ok this may seem like an Odd question but here goes.

I produce a televised sports show which this season we will be doing 2 shows per week instead of just one show.

I would like to use my main URL for both shows but on the landing page there direct the viewer off to either show A or show B.

I would like a different look and feel for each show so I want to use two different templates for each show...
      is this possible?
would I create different subdirectories in the root for each show and just have links on the splash page to each one?
      how would this affect SEO
If it is not possible just tell me so I dont waste time going down the wrong path

      thanks
      chris

    • hi michael,

you can use different templates in the same site. just install the templates, assign a template as default and open a non-default template and assign in the certain pages only through the option "menu assignment"

notice the bottom left part in the first screenshot in the following link
      docs.joomla.org/Screen.templates.15#Template_-_Edit
