    Affinity Joomla! template

    Posted 15 years 9 months ago
    • Hi!

      Affinity Joomla! template has a great feature - Sortable Elements.

      Could you tell me please - if visitor has changed some elements position, will those changes be changed after visitor closed the browser and opened it again? Are those changes stored somehow (will site remember user's elements position)?

      Thank you.

    • Yes, it is not locked into the users of Joomla, it is based on each visitor's browser cookies.

    • Do you have any ideas why does this "remember positions" function doesn't not work for me on Rocketheme Demo site?

      It do remember Style Variations changes but not modules positions. When I close the browser and open it again - I see standart modules layout, without changes I have made.

      Ubuntu 9.0.4
      Firefox 3.5.2

    • Correction: moving modules horizontally actually work fine. Moving groups of modules vertically (lower or higher) is reseted on every browser restart.

      Thanks!

    • Hello,

      In your rt_sectionrows.php update the following lines to the following: line 88
      if (isset($_COOKIE[$this->verticalCookie_name])) $list = explode(',', urldecode(JRequest::getVar($this->verticalCookie_name,null,'COOKIE')));

      line 96
      $list = urldecode(JRequest::getVar($this->horizontalCookie_name,null,'COOKIE'));
