I am switching a URL and want to do a 301 redirect to help maintain search engine rank. I have figured out that i need to place some code in the .htaccess file but I don't know what code to paste and where to paste it.
I want to 301 for all pages of the site.
If anyone knows how to do this, you would be really helping me out by explaining how to do this for me.

- if you have got a Cpanel then you can carry out 301 redirects quite easily using redirect under domains
