How do I assign a module to an article that's not in a menu?

  • How do I assign a module to an article that's not in a menu?

    • I would like to place an advertisement module into an article that is not assigned to the main menu. Is there a way I can attach the article to a different menu and then place the advertisement module into that article???? Does that make sense??? Thanks....

    • Sorry the example pages are gone but with the instructions, you should be able to get started.

Post back if you get stuck.

    • I think this is the solution. My actual need is a tad different in that I am using refraction, and I am needing to show an advertisement module inside an article that is not linked to a menu. I just have to clear my mind and see how it applies in my case....

    • OK, I believe I followed what you did JEM, but I am now a bit foggy. I have 3 articles that are linked from 3 modules(links within those modules). I want to be able to assign an advertisement module to the articles. So I created a new advertisement module and linked it to the new menu item that is a category list as you suggested. I am now at a mental roadblock...

      Here's my test url:
      www.elijahwebsolutions.com/Convention%20Forum/

The three articles I want to place an advertise module in are :

Making Headlines/Faces and Places/ Hot Deals

If you look at the top menu item; Find a Venue, you'll see how each of those "state" articles have an advertisement module inside them on the left. I need that to be the same inside the 3 articles that are linked from the above mentioned module ( headlines. faces. hot deals) I am ALMOST clear on how to get there..but I am not quite connecting it all. Sorry.....if you have time to help great. otherwise I will battle through this til I get it! ;)
