Joomla 1.6 "ready" templates

I will try to keep this as a non "template specific" post as possible.
I have a rockettheme template. I have been listening to the joomla podcasts and did not know that Joomla 1.6 will not have any type of legacy mode. That is OK because I am running 1.5 Native. However, that is not 1.6 Native and there will need to be some changes. How can I find out if my template will work with Joomla 1.6? I realize that this is ahead of time, but my guess would be you guys have your hands on the alpha versions of 1.6.
I am not going to redesign my site look/feel to go to 1.6. Hence, this all comes down to one question.
What are your plans for previously released templates as far as making them compatable with Joomla 1.6?

EDIT: I suppose this question could be applied to other "extensions" that you have created and/or are included with the templates themselves. (Newsrotator and others). Again, that would be a show stopper for me to move forward.
Then ability to create user group granularity with Joomla 1.6 is such a huge benefit for what my site needs... my fingers are crossed and I am knocking on wood to see your answer.

- When the times come, we will make our templates 1.6 compatible but seeing as its in the alpha stage, I wouldn't expect anything substantive soon.

James, thanks for your response. I was wondering this also, but know that RocketTheme is a great company and has the talent to convert them when the time comes. I know this subject is probably on the minds of many as the BETA is due by year end.
Looking forward to a great 2010 with Joomla and RocketTheme.

Chances are no....
First 1.6 needs a stable release.
New templates will (probably) be released in 1.5 & 1.6 versions.
Then older 1.5 templates would then be converted to 1.6 versions.
(as the older 1.0 versions were ported to 1.5)
So if you are using 1.5 now and your subscription lapses, you can't expect 1.5 templates to work with 1.6, just as you could not expect 1.0 templates to work with 1.5.
When the templates are ported over, you'll need a current subscription to download the 1.6 versions. - Thanks,
