    • Hi all, im new here and love the look of your templates. But before I choose one and get cracking I was wondering if someone could suggest which way I should go for what i'm wanting to do.

Im building a website for a nightclub which is going to include jomsocial, jbolo, art sexy lightbox, facebook fanbox and a few other 3rd party extensions. It's jomsocial im mainly worried about, I was was wondering if there a particular template that might be suited to this setup im aiming for and if anyone had any experience here that they might share a few pearls of wisdom with me :) Jomsocial will be a menu link from the main page and not the main focus of the site. The main focus on the index page will be about the bar and then jomsocial will be accessible form the main menu.

Also im an IT and this is my third year project for my degree, so im sorry if im just asking silly questions and I should just get in there and grab myself a template :)

      Thanks guys n girls

    • What you're asking is really a marketing question. I am an internet marketer / seo practitioner / social media / e-commerce consultant. Speaking from experience I can tell you that you will want to do the proper research before implementing such a thing.

Here are a few things that would help us narrow down a template or two:

      1) Do you want a light or dark setting for the template?

      2) Do your customers want a light or dark setting?

      3) What is the purpose of the website?

      4) How much knowledge and skills do you have when it comes to modifying a template graphically?

      5) What kind of goals do you want to accomplish?

Remember, your website must focus on solving your customers problems. If it does not, you are wasting your time.

However, if you think I am dumb (which most do), then I would try Affinity. It has a dark style to it and also comes with a matching JomSocial template.

You could easily modify it to fit your needs, in my opinion, without knowing much about what I said above.

      Best of luck to you!

    • Thankyou very much for your reply. I totally understand what you are saying and I appreciate your sound advice.

We feel we have found a niche in the market for this type of site and preliminary testing and surveying of customers show a positive response to our plans. Execution is the key and first and foremost we feel that meeting the business needs of the nightclub is our first priority. We have a plan on how to attract the current patrons into trying the new website and a strategy for keeping them there and strengthening brand loyalty after they have signed up.

Not too sure about whether a light or dark theme would be best, but our client wants to go with dark. I am actually looking at the affinity and refraction templates so far.

Once again thanks for your tips, much appreciated :)
