Will new templates be based on Joomla 1.5?

Hi All,
Looking at all your amazing templates, I was totally amazed by the Vortex template, I was wondering whether the templates that are now developed will be based on Joomla 1.5. I know that they can be used on Joomla 1.5 using the legacy function.
Actually it is silly question, because the non 1.5 wordl is larger than the up and coming 1.5 world and making 2 copies of every template available is also not a consideration I presume.
So why the question, I ask myself.....
Just dreaming about it and defenitely want to hear your opinion.

keep in mind.. joomla 1.5 won't be released for about 6 months - Billy Zoellers

- Yeah... Joomla 1.5 is still in Beta... it's just not needed and why even take time to modify the templates just so they can work perfectly on 1.5 when 1.5 can still change alot?

Ok, guys,
point taken. I must admit that I have started some work on my PixelPerfect template to make the changes for 1.5 to see whether that would work out.
If I have it working I let you know. In the mean time PP works perfectly in legacy mode.

well you shouldn't be running a live site on joomla 1.5 at all except for testing purposes. - Billy Zoellers

If you want to be proactive and get involved, Pieter, there is a sub-forum dedicated to using RT templates in Joomla 1.5.

Thanks Dan for your positive reaction. I really want to be busy with 1.5 and learn at the same time. So I will have a look at the url.
