Site admin and nav slow - but site itself loads nicely

Hi. When working on the site or when browsing through it.. it seems super slow. I've ran some general speed test on it and it seems okay loading at first.
Does anyone know if I can optimize the template/database/stylesheets somehow to speed it up? I'm getting so many complaints about it and am kinda stumped!

- Your site loads in 1-3 seconds here. The only advice i can give you is to use RokGZipper and/or switch host.
- Please reply with a direct link to the issue & create a new thread for each new issue.

hey.. thx for the advice.. a couple questions.
1. is there a history of siteground being a little slow?
2. the home page loads but did you see how long it took when you clicked on a link form the main nav menu?
3. i optimized my tables and of content table was about 600k. think that could be the problem?

1. I don't think so.
2. It doesn't take that much time for me. Which browser are they using? IE6 is a very slow browser when it comes to JS.
3. 600KB is not that much these days. Normal newssites can be 1.5-2 MB... - Please reply with a direct link to the issue & create a new thread for each new issue.

IE8 has a problem with any site as far as i experienced on Vista. Give it a try with google chrome and compare. Plus compress your data as much as possible, check your cache permissions.
One of the reasons why i joined rockettheme is because the code is very performing.
BTW, if i ping your site, i get a pretty delayed feedback. Hope this helps

Hi.
1)The site appears much quicker in google chrome.
2) if the site appears slow when you ping it then what could i change to fix it
3) i optimized the tables, rokzipper and caching is on... what else can i do?
Is there someone that can look into this for me? My client is freaking out on me and I am stuck!

- You could still optimize the code and images. If you're not using something remove it. Compress and combine everything you can.
