problems installing yoomla rocket lancher on my website
Posted 15 years 6 months ago
Dear members,
I have troubles installing yoomla rocketlauncher yoomla pack on my website.
If I install yoomla original then all go's well
The problem lies with the rocket launcher pack.
First some info on my server space.
In the root of my serverspace I have the usual Public_html folder. Normaly I must install the rocket launcher pack in that directory but if I do i get the error mesage that there is nothing there.
For this I have then installed a normal joomla program (1.5) and this installed without problems.
I have then looked where the files where writen and there where writen in another folder!
On my serverspace I also have a directory called "domains"
There is a directory with the name of my website and there in there are some other directorys. One of them is public_html and in that dir are installed the yoomla files.
So my webspace looks simplified like this:
mywebspace: public_html
domains - mywebsitesname folder - public_html
- public.ftp
- other maps and files
So I have deleted the installed yoomla data - resetted the data base - and copied the rocket launcher pack. When I go to my site I the can make the first steps but at last step it fails.
Tryed to do it more than 4 times but always the same.
So I installed server software on my pc to test the package. I installed the rocked launcher pack and it run fine.
So there must be something that the joomla install do and the rocket launcher pack not. One of the things I seen is that the yoomla pack takes care of the data base configuration.
I can however install a normal website on my webspace.
Here is the mesage I always get on the last step
Notice: Undefined index: DBtype in /usr/home/myporta/domains/myportal.com/public_html/installation/installer/models/model.php on line 764
Fatal error: Call to undefined method JException::getNullDate() in /usr/home/myporta/domains/myportal.com/public_html/installation/installer/helper.php on line 290
Someone who can help me out? I am a total novice on this mather.

I had this problem in the past and solved it in installing RocketLauncher locally, like you did. Install JoomlaPack and generate a full backup (which contains an installer).
Upload the files generated by JoomlaPack and install it like you would for a standard Joomla install and it should work.
