I'm not sure if this is the place to post this. I know it's not a problem with the template, but I really need some help! When I try to log-in to the site I get this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::onAuthenticate() in /home/.cannisters/karenmims/mississippidulcimer.com/libraries/joomla/user/authentication.php on line 121
Dreamhost has worked on the problem for a couple of days with no success and have determined that it is a problem in the software. They at first said a plugin seemed to be hanging. A week ago I edited a module and installed JCE. That's all I've done in a long time. Backing up to and earlier date didn't solve the problem.
I have older versions of the site saved. Can I fix this with one of them or is this something in MYSQL that will still cause problems?
I switched to a copy of the website saved from an earlier date and I was able to get into the admin page. I thought everything was OK. I went back later and now I get a 404 message at the log-in like I did at first before Dreamhost worked on it, and the address bos says
mississippidulcimer.com/plugins/system/404.html
What would make it work when I switched and then mess up again?
Yes, it's the latest update of Joomla. I may have the problem fixed now. Last night someone at the Joomla forum looked at the source code and noticed Jsecure. I went through admin php and deleted every reference to that and a couple of other things that I loaded before and never used. I never used Jsecure but I think I put in on the site about a year ago. I'm not sure if I am having hacker issues or if something just got messed up. Right now I can access the admin page and everything looks good. I really need someone to look at my Mysql to see if there is any evidence of a hacker.
