    • Dear community,

      I am having a nightmare trying to get my mail not going to spam. After a few hours of research i realized that there was no SPF with my domain so i call my VPS hosting company HostColor.com and asked what the best configuration would be for this matter.

      Thay have not provided me with any decent example yet and just pointed me to www.openspf.org/SPF_Record_Syntax which is a little out of my league i ve asked for an example and recommendation over 3 emails and they simply dont want to know or help in this matter (I am seriously considering leaving them over this)

      Further I found a old.openspf.org/wizard.html which creates the syntax for you. I have filled in the information requested and my syntax was generated looking like this

      v=spf1 a mx a:globalxtreme.net mx:mail.globalxtreme.net ip4:192.168.1.9/24 ~all

      However it didnt work .. i waited about 6 hours and tried the "invite friends" via parainvite extension and when straight to JuNk :shock:

      in this syntax above you can see the additional information a:globalxtreme.net mx:mail.globalextreme as my ISP provider here in Indonesia which i ve had to guess as believe it or not they dont have a clue about this SPF (AND I AM PAYING $70 MONTH FOR GLOBALXTREME :evil: ). Providing we had their correct information should have allowed us to use outlook without mail to going to spam on every occasion as well as the most important networking feature "Parainvite". Anyway it didnt work at all!!

      I tried using a different method and exclude my isp just to see if emails from the servers would have any success with "v=spf1 a mx -all" and "v=spf1 a mx ?all" v=spf1 +a +mx -all
      give each about a 6 hour gap before testing and both methods till going to spam :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:

      I really need help here guys :oops:

      I ve attached a screenshot on my control panel here for reference!! Please help guys This is a real held back and our current member are sending invites to their friends with no success of reaching an inbox what so ever :cry: its making this all system very unprofessional.

      FYI
      Now even with
      v=spf1 a mx ~all
      v=spf1 a mx -all
      v=spf1 a mx ?all
      v=spf1 +a +mx -all

      which i ve tested over the past 48 hours and gave a few hours each b4 a trial i still get the same

      www.kitterman.com/spf/validate.html

      SPF records are primarily published in DNS as TXT records. The TXT records found for your domain are:

      v=spf1 a mx ~all

      SPF records should also be published in DNS as type SPF records. This is new and most implementations do not support it yet.
      No type SPF records found.

      Checking to see if there is a valid SPF record.

      Found v=spf1 record for xxxxxxx.com
      v=spf1 a mx ~all

      evaluating...
      SPF record passed validation test with pySPF (Python SPF library)!

      STILL ALL EMAILS ARE GOING TO SPAM! FROM SERVER AND OUTLOOK

      I need a SYNTAX that will cover and allow all mails sent from HostColor.com and my ISP globalxtreme.net!!

      Really look forward to and professional opinion here guys and possible Syntax to use for this before i go totally CuCu!!!

      I am here every hour hoping to check an a response and solution from this awesome community of professionals!
      Many Thanks
      Marco

    • Just my 2 cents.

      If you were to send an email from your site through parainvite to me. The fact it comes into my spam box or not, has nothing to do with your server's spam settings. That would be a) my providers settings b) spam filter on my local email application.

      I am into web development for 15 years and some of the issues I have seen grow are spam filters by providers. In no way for a commercial website I will ever run spam filters on the server.

      Spam is a world wide problem and unfortunately not going away. But still I use an email application to be my spam filter and not server side, so that its always accessible.

      Next to that, often a simple change of subject of an email could solve issues. Maybe the title of the parainvite subject is very spammy.

      it could also be that the entire server you run it on (and perhaps even the entire provider's ip range) is blacklisted. Then you have a huge problem as it is near to impossible to be removed from the blacklist.

      A little test showed scary results: www.mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=...t%3aglobalxtreme.net

    • Thank you Piet for the quike responce. I tried editing to message with no html different short subjects but still no luck.

      So i thought that if someone sent an invitation via parainvite extension it would be generated and sent from my server mail. is that not correct? where would the email then come from?

      What would be a successful procedure to solve this problem?

      In regards to sending email from my email client is not the mayjor concern at this point as i can use gmail which seems to work ok. Parainvite is tho. People are using it and are quite disapointed with the result.

      Pls let me know Piet and or anyone who has and plan of action.

      Many many thanks
      Marco

    • Do you have a live site url so I can use parainvite to see what happens on my side?
