    Blank Default Menu Item Page

Posted 15 years 5 months ago
    • Hi

I have noticed with my joomla site that when I set the default menu item (eg. the Home link), it serves up a blank page instead of the page. The url becomes:

      http://localhost:8888/sitename.com.au/

However if I type in http://localhost:8888/sitename.com.au/index.php the page loads. The page will also load if I refresh it. But it just doesnt automatically load when the menu item is clicked.

Can anyone tell me why this occurs? Both of the sites have rocket theme templates.

Im using MAMP and it happens on both of the sites I have installed, and everything else works fine.

I have tried changing the default template to something else, and disabling any 3rd party modules. Neither has any effect. I have also set the default menu item to the other options, but the same thing happens, whichever page I chose, it loads blank.

      Thanks

      Tracey

    • Could you please check your joomla folder root? I suspect there is another index.html with blank content inside.
