RokBridge and WordPress Templates

    • If I want to have my Joomla site with a matching Wordpress template and phpBB3 Forum template, can RokBridge be used to manage the user logins for all 3 of these from the Joomla site? If not, then what is the best way to handle the logins for all? It would be sweet to only require one login point for all.

I've never messed with Wordpress at all but I see in your demos that if a user wants to post comments they have to login. I was thinking it would be nice to have a "Blog" option in the main menu of the Joomla website that would then take the user to the WordPress part of the site (with the same template like "Replicant2" so that they don't even know they left so to speak). I already have it setup that this is what happens with the phpBB3 Forum link using RokBridge.

    • everything is possible but using all three seems like a lot of work when joomla can be a perfectly good blogging platform and i personlly think, with the right extensions, better than wordpress for SEO

but to answer your question, as it stands now, RokBridge won't handle that for you

the best way to do it and this is a horrible answer would be to wait for the bridge that did it all for you or just run with joomla as your blogging platform.

there is also every chance andy will be working on one and there is also a change that the guys over at JFusion will be adding wordpress to their extension which already incorporates quite a few

but i would give joomla a try for blogging ... but that is just personal

    • Retired, but build and run websites for organisations of school leaders and others - e.g. http://www.icponline.org, http://www.aspa.asn.au, http://www.appa.asn.au

    • I have used the corephp blog addon, and it is easy to set up and manage and easy for users to use. It is commercial addon.

    • Maybe RocketTheme will release something like WP RokBridge and WP RokNavMenu Exporter?
It would make sense, since they release Joomla!/WP/phpBB3 templates and extensions.

I sure hope they take this into consideration, I would personally love if you could bridge all 3 together and get the best of all 3 worlds. :cheesy:
