User behavior on site with forum and jomsocial / cb

- Hi there, i was wondering if someone had some experience on sites that has both: forum and some community builders components. Ive ask this because it seems to me that some of the features overlap each other. I had no experience on this and probably i will research on this topic further. If someone did this before, feel that can point me on the right direction (read here there and everywhere) or just want to share thoughts on the matter would be great.

- My site currently uses jomsocial bridged with rokbridge to phpbb3 forum. It works ok just not like I would like it to. Gets annoying because the login is synced but stuff like users avatars and other info is not. They basically have 2 profiles the jomsocial and forum profile, also I'm using K2 so if someone leaves a comment and is a registered user their avatars are not pulled..... so it more like 3 profiles kind of a mess. I'm in the process now of looking for a better solution maybe an integrated joomla forum like angora or something to help things out.

Hi YakAngler, what a problem!! i would not like to be on your shoes right now... but after what you told i think that ill be there soon. Im using affinity and i though that integration betwen k2, phpbb3 was not an issue and i was trying to look forward on posible overlaps which may be weakens my site.. Scary news for me YakAngler.
