    Wordpress Migration

Posted 15 years 5 months ago
    • I've purchased the corePHP Wordpress plug-in (by annual subscription) in order to give my Wordpress client some easy migration to Joomla. Problem is that urls are rewritten and seen as Not Founds by the Google search bots, lowering her SEO rankings... precisely why we switched from Wordpress to Joomla in the first place.

Is it possible to migrate the Wordpress Blogs/Archives into the Reaction Template? If the SEO issues are solved, I will gladly coach her in a new admin interface, as the index.php/pages/index.php/blog/ etc... urls that are problematic with Wordpress are mind-numbing.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions/tips/tutorials.

    • Anyone have an idea why Google bots would be delivering Not Founds because of reading blog posts as a separate page not within the Joomla template infrastructure. I'm using corePHP Wordpress plug in (whose tech support has been lousy, btw) and they "haven't seen anything like it before". The Not Found urls appear to have added additional pathways like the following:
      www.financialintimacy.com/index.php/abou...financial-abuse.html

linking from a page that isn't within the Refraction template framework, as if it's seeing the blog post as an embedded wrapper page.
      www.financialintimacy.com/index.php/abou...les-information.html

Would LOVE to solve this once and for all.. ANYONE?
