Content item titles in top bar?

I posted this in the template forum for the tempalte I am working on..but it really is a general question, and since that post has only had 4 views, hope more people see it here. Is there a way to make the content item titles appear up in the top bars like the module titles do?

That would look very nice, expecially if you could get the pdf/mailicond up there too.
However, not having looked at Vortexin any great detail, I can't really help. A template hack would most likely be required
