Thanks pal and I am so impressed with the way that you battled the illness.
In a somewhat macabre turn of events, I may be facing a bone marrow transplant myself. I go to see the doc on the 6th for another test (not another bone marrow extraction, thank goodness) and hope to learn more after that.
Fyi, I've been on the Voluntary Bone Marrow Donor's Registry for some 20+ years... never thought that I may be in need of the service myself!

Oh Man! Sorry to hear that Roland! Were you diagnosed with cancer? (I had Hodgkin's Lymphoma)
If you need someone to talk to, I'm here for ya Bro!
There's two types of Bone-Marrow transplants:
1- Autologeneous (when you are your own donor) Dangerous-but less chance of rejection.
2- Allogenic (outside donor) Very dangerous with high-risk of rejection.
Do you know which type you are having? They normally always try #1 before going to #2. I barely qualified for #1. I had so many years of chemo and radiation that my own bone-marrow was in very bad shape. I was lucky that my sister was an exact-match. (siblings are always the best)
