    • If he wants other peoples ads on his site and to get paid, doesn't he need adsense? I always thought adwords were to advertise on another site.

    • I read ad sense Google, but all it gives me is that if I register, I pay for when people click on my adds which displays on Google's site.

My Q is around how do I display people's ads on my site and get paid?
      purpose- Get paid! :-)

    • Joseph has it the wrong way around.

Adsense - you pay to advertise on other sites/Google.

Adwords - you display other people's ads on your websites.

As for who they are - well, anyone! The ads are generated by content-keywords on your site so the adverts are relevant to the content, pretty clever stuff. You can 'blacklist' certain adverts too if they are competitive/unsuitable.

    • ...one other thing - you may want to consider affiliate advertising too, there are lots of companies offering generous schemes (such as our very own RTTC) - you kind of need a site with relevant content though I suppose. But just another way of potentially generating revenue.

Goold Adwords is okay but unless your site has a billion visitors a day you won't be retiring any time soon ;)

    • Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers of all sizes to display relevant Google ads on their website's content pages and earn money. Because the ads are related to what your visitors are looking for on your site — or matched to the characteristics and interests of the visitors your content attracts — you'll finally have a way to both monetize and enhance your content pages.

Google AdWords is a quick and simple way to advertise on Google, regardless of your budget. AdWords ads are displayed along with search results on Google, as well as on search and content sites in the growing Google Network, including AOL, EarthLink, HowStuffWorks, & Blogger. With searches on Google and page views on the Google Network each day, your Google AdWords ads reach a vast audience.

When you create an AdWords keyword-targeted ad, you choose keywords for which your ad will appear and specify the maximum amount you're willing to pay for each click. You only pay when someone clicks on your ad. To save you even more money, our AdWords Discounter automatically reduces the actual CPC you pay to the lowest cost needed to maintain your ad's position.

    • Yes I have an adwords and an adsense account. The adwords is where I pay to have my ads put on others sites. Adsense is where I get payted for people clicking others ads on my site.
