Solved - This connection is untrusted

Posted 15 years 4 months ago
    • Hello

I dont know if this a rocket theme issue or something else...

I have installed the dominion template via the rocketpack installer on my test site at:
      www.taskforce141st.com/newsite/index.php

There is a login module on the homepage bottom left. If you try to login via that, I get the following message popup in firefox:
This image is hidden for guests.
Please log in or register to see it.

The page it's trying to load is: (note the https)
      www.taskforce141st.com/newsite/index.php

However, If on my homepage I click the Login link in the top right of the header, that takes me to a dedicated login page. I can login via that no problem without that message being displayed.

This is on firefox 3.5.7. Also an issue on IE.

Any thoughts what the issue might be?

    • Typically you get those messages when someone else has issued the SSL certificate that is not a trusted host. Or you can get the message if the certificate has expired or if you are borrowing an SSL certificate by your webhost.

The only good solution is to get a trusted SSL certificates (in your own name) from places like Verisign and such.
    • Please reply with a direct link to the issue & create a new thread for each new issue.

    • Check the parameters for your Login module. There is a setting that lets you choose to use SSL or not. You can just mark it "No" and it will stop trying to use https.

    • Thanks for the link Kat. I'm sorry for raising a new thread. I did search for answer but must have used wrong search terms and so didn't find it.

Thanks again - great support :)
