I use the Aug. 2008 Per. theme. I lost the RokNewsRotator from my site. It worked fine for a long time when it was set in user 1 position. When I tried to add text in User 2, RokNewsRotator was gone, but the title remains. So I guess the code was stripped, but I can't figure out how to fix it. I tried to look for the answer here at the forums and was directed to this page.
I followed those directions but there was no change. I did recently change the editor from Tiny MCE to JCE so that may be part of the problem. I did try to find the answer here but am unable. Others seem to have had similar problems, but the problems seem to be a bit different. Does anyone know what I need to do? I hope I don't have to reinstall everything. Thanks.
I will upload an avatar soon. I know how annoying it is when your community is faceless.
Yes, I tried that before I posted. I tried with tiny MCE, JCE and without any editor at all. (Several times back and forth) None of them made any difference.
Strangely, I just opened my site and now it's working. I didn't change any settings. Now I'm afraid to try anything in the other user positions at top or change the editor. (Right now it is set for Tiny MCE) Would changing my editor have caused that to happen? Has this ever happened to anyone else? Could this be a glitch with Joomla, RT, or RokNewsRotator that you guys are unaware of?
I just know the only problem that caused your html code stripped in the article editor was the filter option in the Joomla. However, if you have applied the fixed in the link you mentioned above, there should be any problem anymore. That problem is coming from that Joomla filter not the RokNewsRotator
