Frontpage Slideshow in Footer

My Frontpage Slideshow component is showing up in User9 (where it's supposed to be) but also in the footer. I checked the Frontpage module and it's correctly set to User9. I don't know if it's something I did, but if anyone has a clue to how I might get it out of the footer can you post it?
Btw, it doesn't show up in the footer of the free template I had been using.
