      I have a website with content that lists jobs - currently this only available to people who register - ideally we'd like people to have to register AND pay ( just a nominal fee just to cover our running costs).

      Does anyone know of any extensions that I can use to do this?

      I did look at JContentSubscription but, apart from some really bad votes, the link is down.
