Site doesn't recognize new default template

  • Site doesn't recognize new default template

    • I recently downloaded and installed the Chromatophore template. However, changing the default template from TerranTribune to Chromatophore or even JA_Purity doesn't change anything. When I view the source, everything is still pointing to the TerranTribune directories on all pages.

I don't have any menus set to different templates or anything like that.

Any idea why this is happening?

      Thanks

    • Have you tried to clear your browser cookies?

    • Apparently that was the problem! I had to manually delete the cookie several different times before it finally worked. Now I can change templates back and forth without problem. Not sure what hung it up but that was it!

I'm still curious where the default template value is stored in Joomla. I can't find it in the database or any configuration file. Any ideas?

      THANK YOU!

Great. Glad to hear it's solved now.

Regarding to the where the template setting is save, it's in params.ini file inside your template folder
