how to add Anchors in main menu

I have created anchors to an article, and then found out that to include them in mainmenu, some modifications has to be made to Joomla core files (see
forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=178&t=4...menu+anchor#p2023542
)
which I made. However it was only after that I realized that it didnt work propably because Rocket Theme Joomla templates seldom uses mod_mainmenu where part of the changes went into.
Now, how can I use anchor points in menu items (to mark there anchor point to jump to) with Rocket Theme templates? In this case, the template is Akiraka. I already tried to use external link insteas of article layout, but that didn't work since Itemid gets added there in the end. And then again, in case of multiple article links with anchors it would become a hedeache and ruin the whole menusystem idea.
So with Rocket Theme templates and spesifically with normal menusystems they are using, how can I use anchors?
