Stupid Reseller Question on Updating?

When you upload the site to the customer do you train them to access the administration back end to updated the content or do you just train them to log in and change it form the front end as a publisher?
The reason I ask is that joomanuals shows the customer the back end way of adding or updating content. http://www.joomanuals.com/index.html Like I said a stupid question I know they need to know how and need to be shown but to me one of the main advantages is the updating from the front end.
