Joomlapack local to live site problem?

Used joomlapack to backup site on localhost, uploaded it with the kickstart to empty site. Started kickstart and it did its thing till it got to the database. The fields were filled in with localhost, root and so on that where it messed up. Do you have to make the database on your live site first before doing this and if so is it ok if it is another name. Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, you need to create a new database for the installer to write to, the same as you would for a Rocket Launcher or Joomla install.
You can use a different username, pass, and DB name.
As you mentioned, the old info displays by default, jsut enter the new information and you'll be all set.
Also not, some Hosts have different naming conventions, so if 'localhost' doesn't work, check with your host to see what it should be. - Thanks,
