How to display an article in a module

I know this is an obvious question as all the Rockettheme templates offer this feature, but how do you show an article in a module position other than the main content position, with an optional photo and a read more button?
Is there a special module to do this?

Thanks, I've taken a look at the Articles Anywhere plugin, and it looks worth a try. I'm just surprised that Rockettheme don't have a module for this since they use the effect so often in their templates. Have they just created that affect using a custom module, and created a mini version of the article with photo, article intro and read more button?
I hadn't seen the ijoomla module before - it's not really what I'm looking for but might be useful for other sites in the future. It's quite a neat solution for freshening up the home page.
