    • Wow, that setup is great...as you said, it looks like all the features of j! 1.5 but better. I wonder if 3rd party plugins will work as well (would not have thought that they would not)

May be a chance to try this CMS!

Thanks for the demo info ;D

    • Damn, it looks sweet!

How did your testing go Peter?

I am wondering if it really is better...

    • Been playing with it myself. It does look vaguely familiar, just like another CMS I've been using. It launched gangbusters but haven't seen as much action lately.

Most of the 3PD I tried worked, and those that didn't really didn't need a whole lot of tweaking to get it to work. But like most forks, that will change soon enough. One thing I wonder is now that the GPL issies have come to light, how many 3PD's will switch over to Elxis? They seem to endorse commercial extensions, ever have them featured on the front page.

    • well it seems promising

although i dont think ill be changing over any time soon

i like the user management - i mean the options to add new user types - thats cool

other than that from my 5 minutes of testing

      it doesnt seem too special

do they not have to follow joomla/mambos rules - as it is based off of there software?

for me it looks like they have taken some of the better joomla components and intergrated them into the backend? like previously said though - im no coder so i couldnt tell

      p.s

      there site is damn ugly...

also it doesnt scream professionalism to me like joomla - see here
All you have to do is use something that you already have (your wesite) and do what you do every day (take care your site).
