Best cmponent to create a "salon finder" type feature?

Hey there,
I'm just building a site that will need to have a module where someone can enter their postcode, and get a list of the 3 nearest salons to them, from the database.....I guess it's some fairly simple querying of the mysql, but i'm not sure how to set it up. Are there any components out there that you have come across that could help in this situation? Would really appreciate any pointers....thanks :c) - www.cityinsurance.co.uk

Seems like a pretty specific application.
You should search on the JED for 'zipcode' or 'finder', etc.
Barring that, you may need the application to be custom coded.
(Something that searches a DB that you create with all the salon info and zip codes.)

- cool, thanks for the response - i ended up going for sobi2 and the "radius search" plug-in..just in case anyone else has a similar problem...cost 79 euros....but does the job well
