User Menu items
Posted 15 years 1 month ago
I feel dumb asking this but I am very new to Joomla.
I thought that if you had a user menu it would show up instead of the main menu when users are logged in.
Is that right, or am I missing something. I have looked all over and can't find how to make this happen.
I have a user menu setup as it was with the rocket launcher package, but I never see that menu.
I always see the main menu on top.
Thanks for your patience :^))

You need to publish the User Menu module in an existing position. It will not replace main menu, but will be displayed in addition when the user is logged in, for example in left column if it's where you publish it.

Hello,
The user menu is displayed in a module. Extensions > Module Manager > User Menu
So just publish this module on your main page.

Pretty much every site I have built without a CMS has a members area.
That area has a separate menu.
The front of the site is trying to sell the membership so menu items like "Why buy our membership"
don't need to be displayed in the members area.
Is there a way for a new menu to be displayed on top??
