    SEO impact of use or non-use <p> tag

      It appears that <p&gtp; tag is used in Rockettheme templates (I'm using Perihelion) instead of the <p> tag. What is the impact on SEO?

      I just started to shift to using the <p&gtp; tag, but found it messes up vertical spacing, so I am removing it from my markup, but worried about the SEO impact.
