- Bumping an old thread as I am having the same problem with any plugin (using Modulus on J1.5)
  
  Done plenty of Googling and can't find a resolution.
  Frustrating obviously as means I can't use code to use any plugin
  
  Any ideas how to fix this?

- be aware of the fact that the pluginsyntax does not work in modules (in J1.5).
  It should work in Joomla 1.6. There is an option to turn that on.

  I have 2 comment plugins installed and activated, but only the bracket code is dispalyed {showcomments}
  
  I use Joomla 1.7 and Camber template.

- 1. in the module itself
  Basic Options > Prepare Content
  must be set to "yes"
  
  2. in the article manager > options > Text Filters
  Superuser must be set to "no niltering"
  This also affects modules

- I have the settings as you say, still not working. Do i need a certain Rok plugin to make it work?
