    In your opinion...

Posted 18 years 1 month ago
    • Just got a new client today. It's a golf course. The client wants to have a complete amenities overview (golf course, swimming pool, catering, banquet facility, pro-shop, etc.) with lot's of photos. They are also wanting a small amount of e-commerce with the ability to sell memberships, book banquets or receptions as-well-as sell merchandise out of the pro-shop.

I know it's a mixed bag and looking through the Templates, I am left with this question to you esteemed members:
In your opinion, what template do you like that would offer the best "all-around" compatibility.

I have discussed with them about having a general "subdued" appearance and let the course images provide the "pop." I kinda like the Versatility II with the grey and lime settings.... BUT.... I don't think a "dark theme" would suit our goals.

Let me know your opinions... I am eager to here your thoughts.

    • I would agree with the non dark templates! I would try out, either, Versatility 2 as you suggested or maybe a stripped down light bentobox template

OT/ your sig violates forum rules.

      Cheers

    • Sorry about the signature thing. I changed it immediately! I also like the Internet Gazette. It's clean! The modules aren't too graphically intensive... therefore it will not detract too much from the content placed in them.

Thanks for the input so far and hope to here more.

    • Consider your clients customers. What is the demographic? Is it in a seniors area or is it a course frequented by 30 somethings?

People usually associate golf with older people. I would lean towards light colors, focus on readability, lots of white space with little distraction. I'd default to large font and let people select a smaller one.

With all of the features and toys they are asking for I'd test all of them together first. You might sell them on a slideshow/slimbox and later find out it conflicts with the cart, etc.... Make sure you know it works before you sell it to them.

That's quite a list/project they are asking for. Good luck with it.
