- Now I am pretty new to joomla -> K2 -> and now RT and i have seen a limited amount of gallery extensions for joomla. My question is which image/gallery extensions are the very good in your opinons. I have only used simple image gallery plugin for k2. I need something that will also protect my images from being downloaded.

I am a fan of Phoca Gallery.
But please note, there is NO extension that will stop users from downloading your images.
Once your page is in their browser, your images are stored in their cache.
The best you can do is to watermark your images.
(I don't know if Phoca has this ability... I've always understood once it's on the net, there's not much you can do...)
But you can always search the JED on joomla.org for an extension that does so.... - Thanks,

I have a photographer client who needed their images protected on his website, i watermarked his images to stop users from stealing his hard work and then uploaded to the gallery.
There are also programs which can do it for you if you are unable to use image editing software.
