Want to jump in the Gantry wagon but I have some questions?

    • I work with RocketTheme templates for near 3 years, now. I try other known serious template maker and still coming back here for 2 reasons. 1— the solidity and quality of the templates are excellent. 2— The degree of support is fantastic, I never have a problem without an answer. I can say that I’m really demanding to the degree of flexibility in a template, as a designer it’s of prime importance that I can control all aspect of a template and I don’t like some kind of system to dictated my design. So far all the template I used give me almost entire satisfaction.

Now come Gantry. I take a look and it seem to be interesting and I probably try one soon.
      Now, My questions:

1• Can I override and/or control any setting given by the Color Chooser system easily and independently by css?

2• Can the multitude of backgrounds (in some templates) be resume to example : one main background and one background for the main page
Even in Refraction (not gantry) nobody so far give me the way to have the main background going all the way to the bottom of the page. I did have to hack this the dirty way.

3• (I think I know the answer of this on but still asking) Can the Color Chooser be accessible only to the Super Administrator at any time (Completely Hidden to all user but the Super administrator) I don’t want any other user to have access to this to destroy a carefully scheme of colors and backgrounds.

4• Can you add or take out modules positions in the template easily (in the index.html). I almost always rearrange the basic structure of a template to have exactly what I need.

      My main concern...
Hopefully Gantry will keep the possibility to every normal users (without being a coding guru) to be able to modified all parts of the templates to respond to any precise design...

      Little scare about that......

    • I suggest looking here:

      www.gantry-framework.org/

And if you have further questions, posting in the forum for the template you are using.
