Change template name

Hi.
I think I've read all threads about to change the template name.
I have changed directory's name and with a text editor I have substitute all refer from old name to the new one.
It seems to work but now when I have to view or create a new menu (in administration) I get this error:
JFolder::files: Path is not a folder
Should I change something else?

For old templates, this one should work (duplicating and renaming follow the same process):

I am trying to rename Kinetic.
I have renamed the template folder and edited templateDetails.xml
But It doesn't work, I must need to edit more files. Can anyone point me to the correct files please.

Renaming the template requires editing files only, not creating new folders... perhaps you should start a new thread? - Thanks,

I followed the dominion thread and came real close to getting it done. The only problem I'm having, that I can tell, is that Gantry won't load. I get the following error on the homepage when it loads and on the template/edit screen trying to load gantry:
Delete failed: 'gantry-ajax.php'
Copy failed
???

Check these instructions again, they work for use, just change the template name on two sites
