Change template name

This is an install/test on a Windows server and appears to have been related to write permissions. I changed them on the templates folder and params.ini and the error went away. Not sure I'm out of the woods yet, though.
Side note... Gantry is amazingly fast on Chrome but not as reliable.

I have a question!
Could I change the name of the template for my Joomla root?
Example:
/templates/rt_crystalline_j15/
to
/templates/namecustom/ - "The smart woman is not one that have a big knowledge, but rather the woman with little knowledge do so much."
