Rokcandy, Dropcaps and PDF!

    • I searched and there seems to be some 'sweeping under the carpet' of this particular issue.

When applying rokcandy typography to an article and then trying to make a PDF from the pdf link on the article, the formatting all disappears.

Colors are lost, dropcaps are ridiculous etc.

The topics that have been started all seem to cross link to solutions for formatting an article for correct printing, but the PDF issue is on on going problem.

Can one of the devs please post a user friendly, step by step solution for this? Or at the very least if its a lost cause please TELL us so we can all remove the ability to make a pdf from articles.

Sadly it seems that rokcandy cannot handle the job in this respect, is this right?

    • Can you provide a link to your site in this thread so we can take a look?

Not trying to 'sweep this under the rug', but the core Joomla PDF function is rather poor, so you never know what results you will get, a copy of the page or a text only version, this happens with many templates.

I've had several issues with PDFs not printing properly, and they seem to point to the default font JOOMLA chooses for the PDF to be printed in. (So choosing a different default font may help.)

But in any case, if we could have a link, or a link to some Articles that you want to print as PDFs, that would be a start.

Alternately, you could disable the Joomla PFD option and have users print from the File menu, which duplicates the page when it prints out.
