    • I'll swap you for a "Kinetic" Template. I paid $50 USD thinking that would get me a template but it was only a membership join. Then it asks me to pay more to actually get to the template before downloading it ... bummer!

    • recently switched from host gator.
i had a shared account and kept running into the process limit of my account.
dreamhost had better rates on virtual private server accounts so i moved there instead of upgrading to a vps on host gator.

host gator's uptime was good and website serving speed was what i expected for a shared account.

Many of us here use Host Gator and are very satisfied. The best thing about HG is that they are 100% Joomla compatible and you can use any RT template applied to an existing install or installed with the Rocket Launcher without issue. In my experience (along with other moderators and members) the templates install the first time, every time; no errors, no trouble shooting... Just install and get to work on your site.

      Project Connect,

I noticed this was your first post. If you have just joined, sometimes you need to log out and then log in again (clearing your cookies and cache in between) to get access to the download section.

Once you are logged in as a current member, you should be able to download any template from the club you joined.

If you are still having problems, I suggest contacting support directly:

Almost all providers have servers that are compatible with Joomla! ;)

      hi there,

be careful, many providers claim that, when in fact they don't even meet the minimum requirements.

For example a php.ini limit that it to low to run some of the templates, or no CURL which is needed to run some of the components.

    • There is no better type of hosting now than Cloud Hosting. There is not a company out there that can offer a better type of hosting solution.

    • I've used a LOT of hosts. My favorite host right now for standard hosting is SimpleHelix. They are not cheap hosting ($20/mo), but have very fast sites and good service.

For cloud hosting, vps.net has the best solution right now. The offer VPS cloud hosting starting at £15 (I don't know what the US charges are). They have data centers in the UK and the US and you can duplicate your site across both data centers, equaling fast connections on both sides of the pond. They get mixed reviews, mainly due to some bad tastes from other hosting companies owned by the same parent company. However, VPS.NET is the CEO's "child" and he seems to want it to be the best. What I like is that you can do a full Joomla install just by clicking a button (or just LAMP, etc.). That's not typical for VPS hosting.
