..but thanks for the info nonetheless, Kat! I'll review it now. I guess since I haven't used any of these "new" templates, I haven't stumbled across this new policy anywhere.

While I can understand the change in policy about the sample images and licensing issues, it would have been good practice to:
1) Announce that the policy was changing,
2) Start the policy with version 1.5.0 and not a dot release.
The way it was done caused many of us time chasing around trying to understand why the images did not appear in 1.5.1 as they usually do. We didn't know what the problem was - they were there in 1.5.0, but were missing in 1.5.1 rocketlauncher. It makes one believe there was a problem with the template package.
At a minimum this change should have been listed as one of the bullets under the changes associated with 1.5.1.

Yes, many members were using the stock images for their sites, this was never the intention.
RT uses images from several sources and has the right to do so but for members to use the same images for their sites goes beyond the scope of their license, as with any image provider, you are allowed to display images that you purchase, but not to distribute them.
RT wasn't distributing them for use per say, as a courtesy they were included in the RL packages, but more and more, members started using the images on their own sites without the proper licensing to do so. - Thanks,
