Which Joomla editor?

A friend who's experienced with Joomla has been helping a bit but mainly he set a local friend up to help me with my site. We we're set up with Advanced Code Editor and my local friend said it's a bit buggy. I'm definitely on a learning curve with all this but would like some input as to your preferred Joomla editor and maybe a few pros and cons about it from your perspective.
I'm going to be building a much more extensive site in the Fall and am leaning toward Word Press instead of Joomla in part because I understand Word Press is easier to work with but maybe a primo Joomla editor might sway me.
