    • Can we adapt as a Web designer with a Developer Joomla Template Club license to sell the templates for customers? I have seen here h2n.eu and wanted to ask if that is possible ...

      The developer membership levels still adhere to the same restrictions on redistribution and resale as the regular club memberships. The developer memberships are not a way around these rules. The primary difference is that a developer level membership entitles you to an unlimited number of entitlements. This means that you can deploy RocketTheme templates to as many clients as you wish.

      A developer is expected to be performing some kind of customization of the template in the process of delivering the project for the client. You are not permitted to redistribute en-masse in any automated fashion. The main reason for the existence of the developer level membership is to provide a more convenient membership option for high-volume users to reduce the need to constantly add entitlements. Also the developers are provided other features and benefits that can greatly enhance the value of this membership level.

    • o.k., I understand. is the allowed by the GNU/GPLv2 to buy templates to adapt them to the customer and you get paid for this commercial? e.g. a webdesign company?

      As a jed editor I can reply probably with more information .
      Gpl no matter what version is free to use re distribute etc.

      What you pay with a membership anywhere with GPL v license .

      1 Support
      2.Guaranties that your template extension do not contain malicious code that you would have from a warez site.
      3.Updates

      Now do you expect any template developer that spend weeks coding to be given a cup of tea for there service?

      Templates are another type of category that I my views do not meet the true spirits of GPL
      this could be the reason why they are not listed on jed.
