    • Hi all,

Just saw this section and thought i would share the site. Absolutely huge fan of RocketTheme and working on a Infuse and Kinetic template at the moment for a few new personal ideas. Lets see how it goes.. Anyway please let me know what you think of this one, any feedback is welcome and appreciated. Cheers guys.

    • I'm not a big fan of animated ads...

      Site looks nice otherwise ;)

    • Not a fan of the animated ads either or where you placed them. I almost thought you were a dating service not a meetup group. I probably would place them below the content and not feature them so prominently as it is somewhat confusing.

Other than that I liked it.

    • I agree on the ads. I will go a bit further and suggest you look into possibly redesigning your ad revenue plan to incorporate more productive and efficient revenue generating techniques (i.e. Google AdWords, AdBrite, etc.). With a more logical ad type and ad placement, you will notice users are more willing to click.

The Affinity functionality of moving modules is broken. The modules move, but in Chrome and FireFox on Mac OS X it causes the site to do a refresh and go blank. Once refreshed the module is moved to an erratic location. This could be a potential frustration for users.

In the Showcase section you have arrows present but there is only the one view available ('Photography Meetups'). I would change the module to not show the arrows if you plan on only having one item, or place additional items.

Your phpBB3 integration looks nice. If you want to generate additional ad revenue, you might consider placing AdSense ads (small ones) as hardcoded inlines by editing "viewtopic_body.html" file (might have changed a bit, this was a year or so ago when i did this). Once your forum begins to really take off inline ads generate big revenue and are not intrusive.

Best of luck and great job with all your hard work!

      Jeff
    • When someone is impatient and says, "I haven't got all day," I always wonder, How can that be? How can you not have all day?

    • A HUGE thankyou to you guys for the feedback. Very constructive and very helpful.
I completely agree with the ads.. they are a bit in your face. I'm drawing up a new site design and will shuffle the ads around or get rid of them and use the alternate suggestions.

Special thankyou for your testing and feedback JeffShinn, I will be addressing the issues you have mentioned.

LOVE rockettheme, thankyou guys you've made life a lot easier for a lot of people wanting creative sites that are easy to go about making.
