- A bit difficult to read the Newsflash (HGT News) and the play button in the top carousel is slightly off from where I'm sitting. The background image takes some of the attention off the top carousel, but if I had to choose one of them I'd stick with the background. Maby expand the carousel to full width?

I agree. Unless I can figure out how to make the background more opaque I will just remove it.

I'm using Gavick News Show Pro for that. I don't know how to customize it properly. I would like to put a thick border around the whole carousel to help separate it from the background more. Nothing I do works. Any ideas? I'd like to remove the Play button all together. And I don't like how it's the last thing on the page to load
Also that space on right is reserved for banner ads and stuff. That might help things.
UPDATE: My first ad came in last night. Right header space is filled now.
