National Dogo Argentino Club Site - Sporticus Template

  • National Dogo Argentino Club Site - Sporticus Template

    • I created this site at no cost for our national breed club (I am the Educator). There are still some small things (like the complete integration of the SMF forums), but it is live, and we are pleased with the response.

      www.usdac.org

Additional Extensions (Components, Modules, Plug ins): CB, SMF, RawContent, Gallery2, RokGuest, RokMember, Phil-A-Form

Thanks for any thoughts and feedback!

    • Hi Heather, the site looks good. Something to note, though - the menu bar is at the top of the page and is blocking the top portion of your logo in IE7.

    • I love dogo argentino and your site too :-)

I like the modifications you made to sporticus (white) and the integrations of the modules. The site looks very good.

      Congrats!

    • Eric, thanks! I'll look into that. We did a lot of testing, then things got changed (isn't that always the case?), so that probably happened after...

I'll check in the forums for a solve.

Thanks, Franck! We have a long way to go, but I am pleased with it so far. 8)

      Heather,

Excellent work on the site, and *very* informative. You may want to reduce the full-sized images as it 'pushes' out the sides in your gallery when displayed.

On a side note...I'd never seen this breed before, but again it's probably a UKC breed? My wife and I breed and show Affenpinschers (I know on the other spectrum). Our "Teaser" finished 2006 as the #3 Affenpinscher in the USA and Canada.

Those are my wife's dogs, this is my Bullmastiff "Storm" (he was about 16 months in this photo, and is about 130lbs now):

Thanks. I'll get on that. Since it is a free site, i have a lot more to do, and budget my time accordingly. ;D

Congratulations! Yes, we are UKC, ARBA, FCI, but not yet AKC. There is much debate about the pros/cons in the club of being AKC recognized.

What a gorgeous dog! I love the big ones. Little dogs just don't seem substantial to me, but Affenpinschers have big personalities, right?

Affenpinschers definitely have big personalities! We started with Dobies and had a beautiful boy about 80 pounds, but a bit male aggressive (which is why we placed him in a good home just after getting into Affens).

One of our male Affens chomped down on his lip hard enough so that when Drake(the dobie) jumped up in the air to get away, he brought "Fine" with him!

Funny little guys, but I'm not a huge small dog person either.

Once again...great site. If you guys are ever in the Los Angeles area, give me a shout and we could put a photography shoot together (I do photography as well).

Here is our kennel website built on Subtle Trooper template:

      Later,

      Sean
