Leverage Racing - Crystalline (and lots of RT goodies)

Posted 13 years 9 months ago
    • Just launched this site for Leverage Racing, NHRA race team. They had a pretty static old school website so we upgraded them to a Joomla! based CMS for use throughout the season.

      Website: http://www.leverageracing.com/

      Template: Crystalline

      Extensions:
      RokDownloads
      RokMiniEvents
      RSForm!
      Simple Image Gallery by Joomlaworks
      AllVideo by Joomlaworks
      CustomCode by Joomlaworks
      JEvents

First full site build for me for a client. Thoughts?

    • Based on what you describe as their prior website, this was probably a major step up. While all of the functionality is there, it does not seem to match the intensity of the graphics in the car or their shirts (uniform). The colors on the car could have been an inspiration for the color palette for the website itself. The blue on the car seems to be a different blue than the website.

That being said, if you could make the car much more of a major focus on the website, then the subtle coloring could work out great with the fantastic over-the-top graphics on the car.

The pics and video are a great addition. You might want to think about a small 3-4 picture gallery on the front page.

    • Bill,

The point of the website was not to focus in the car, but the team. Hence the crew, driver, and car articles. But I get your point. The owner was more interested in providing current season results, newsletter, race photos, videos, then just concentrating on the car.

Also this was a job for a friend and not a client, so I didn't have a lot of time to tinker with the CSS to get it to match. They are extremely happy with the upgrade, so I'm happy as well.

If i posted the image of the old website, you would see the drastic change between the two!
